The Divisions will be allocated in Fleets as follows:

In addition a Change to Sailing Instructions Number 1 has been posted. This is to correct an original typo and to vary the protest time limit which is now 60 minutes after the last boat finishes on the day.
This is shaping up to be a cracker event with over 190 entries so far. The list of entries to date is on the web site HERE.
The Sailing Instructions are now available for download HERE. Copies will be available at Registration but if you would like to help save the planet feel free to read the SIs on the screen of your choice.
We intend to have inner and outer courses and to have separate start and finish boats. We plan to have four starts with age divisions grouped into fleets with numbers in each around 50 as follows;
- Standard Apprentices and Masters – Standard Fleet 1
- Standard Grand Masters, Great Grand Masters and 4.7 – Standard Fleet 2
- Radial Apprentices and Grand Masters – Radial Fleet 1
- Radial Masters and Great Grand Masters – Radial Fleet 2
Colour mast bands will be issued at Registration and should be displayed as follows;
- Apprentices – Red
- Masters – White
- Grand Masters – Blue
- Great Grand Masters – Yellow
- 4.7s – Orange
Wrist bands will be issued at Registration and are to be used to sign on and off. Alternative sign on and off by SMS is available for the convenience of sailors rigging away from the club. To use SMS sign on please advise at Registration and then each day send an SMS to 0477 647 537 with the words ‘sign on’ or ‘sign off’ and then the sail number or numbers.

The Welcome and Presentation will be in the Alfresco area lower level at the Salamander Shores. These will be finger food events.
The Masters Dinner will be three courses and will be held on Sunday from 1900 hrs in the Driftwood Room at Salamander Shores. At Registration we would like to know the number of people who will be coming to the Sunday Dinner.
Admission to the functions is free for competitors and volunteers and $50 (covering all events) for coaches and supporters. Tickets for the functions will be available at Registration.
The very first Australian Masters Golf Tournament will precede the regatta on Thursday 11 February at the magnificent 27 hole Nelson Bay Golf Club. Golfers will meet at the clubhouse for a bite to eat at noon with first tee time 1:00pm. If you are intending to play, and have not done so already, please advise Rob Lowndes (text 0419 266 257 or firstname.lastname@example.org) straight away so we can ensure we have enough tee times.
Registration will be at the PSSAC Club House between 0900 and 1230 hrs on Friday 12th February. We will not be measuring boats for this event but may carry out spot checks for compliance with the Class Rules.
A Competitor Briefing will be held at the Club at 1100 hrs on Friday 12 February.

But don’t be put off, we will only play 18 holes and in Ambrose format making it a fun team event with no Gold Jacket or individual prizes other than nearest the pin and longest drive. So whatever your skill level, you are welcome to join us provided you wear a collared shirt and running or golf shoes (and other apparel!).
We will meet at the clubhouse for a bite to eat at noon with first tee time 1:00pm. Cost is green fee ($33 pay directly to the proshop) plus $10 (to kitty for prizes). Carts for two cost $39 and to guarantee availability you should book directly with the proshop in advance and they will require a deposit – phone 02 4981 1132.

Entries are now open for the 2016 Australian Masters Championship at Port Stephens Sailing and Aquatic Club. The event will run from 12th to 15th February 2016 and the schedule is here.

This will be a great sailing event held on the fabulous open sailing waters of Port Stephens around Salamander Bay and Soldiers Point. If you are a Laser sailor over 35 years of age this is a must do event – don’t miss it.
